A little about Becca

First let me start by saying, I'm a wife to Andy and a mom to Tyler, also the proud slave to two horses, Dillon and Blue, and one great dog, Braun. I have a passion for photography that just won't quit. I believe there is always more to learn and I take the time to continue doing so, through both reading and classes. When I'm not spending time with my family, editing pictures, at my full time job, or sleeping, you can find me at the barn. A little about my gear: I shoot with all high quality Nikon ditigal equipment. I have a main and back up camera, so no worries there. I also have off camera flash and some great lenses, everything I need to capture all those special moments. I edit all my pictures using my trusty Mac, Adobe Lightroom 2 and Adobe Photoshop CS4. A little about this site: Instead of having both a blog and a website I have found an option that combines both into one. So please look around and come back often as you will be able to see my latest work through my blog below. At the top of the page you will find links to my portfolio galleries. Welcome to my new blogsite!

Hey everyone and welcome the new look of Rebecca Franklin Photography!  Thanks for stopping by and visiting.  I’m so excited about my new blogsite, expect to see lots of posts.  The best think about this is that you can easily look at both my latest work and my portfolio, just click on the galleries tab at the top to see it.

This logo was design by Cathy and David Photographers.  They also designed me the rocking watermark you will be seeing on my pictures.  Oh yeah, and not to mention the help with the blogsite, oh, and my new business cards.  I’m still waiting for them in the mail, but don’t worry you will be seeing a pictures of them when they get here, they are letterpress, please don’t drool on your keyboard :o)

My next announcement is that United States Equine Rescue League VA and NC Chapter is doing a fundraiser for the Isle of Wight and Glouster horses that have been rescue here in the past few months on May 16th from 1pm to 5pm.  With the economy the way it is I fear we will be seeing more animals in bad situations, if you are even considering a dog, cat, horse, or even a rabbit, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check with your local shelter and rescues to find the perfect fit, they have them young to old.  Okay, I digress, URERL is hosting a fundraiser at Lendy’s in Virginia Beach.  Click here to find out all the information and purchase you tickets.  Just $25 for all you can eat wings (which are awesome at Lendy’s) and free beer, oh and did I mention all the raffles and door prizes, including a photography package from yours truly.  I was already booked for a wedding on the 16th so you won’t see my smiling face there, but it would me a lot to me if ya’ll support all these efforts.  The Isle of Wight horses are all PMU’s, same as Blue, so this hits home.

    I love your website — your beautiful photographs, the color scheme, your logo, everything! Have you done any ‘trash the dress’ sessions? Or would you consider it? :)
