Pungo, Virgina Beach, VA, Farm Wedding ~ Amanda and Patrick
Posted on June 24, 2009
Last year I got a text message saying a dear friend had gotten engaged, I was so excited for her and her lucky fiance. Early this year I went ahead and bit the bullet and offered to shoot her wedding as her wedding present. I lucked out, she agreed. So here are my favorites from Amanda and Patrick’s wedding at Roseoldian Farm. Amanda’s family owns the farm, Patrick is a large animal vet, I bet ya’ll are getting the picture of how they met. I was lucky enough to have a great second shooter along with me Robbie Hickman. More luck followed and at the wedding I got to meet a fellow wedding photographer John Cachero. So without further ado…
Some great details….

If you know me, you know I love rings and getting creative with them… this is special just for the bride and groom.. do you know what they are on?

Dress details, the beautiful bride and the cutest flower girl!

I love watching people during the ceremony

Just Married!

The traditional pose… and Patrick holding her bouquet, he’ll be thrilled it’s up here

A few around the barn

and of course with the tractor and some of the residents

I can’t decide which of these next three is my favorite.. you tell me what you think (leave a comment!)

The first dance

Here is Amanda’s lovely mom, cutting a rug

I love the way the lights from inside make this first shot look. On the right is Amanda’s grandfather and his Nikon… a man after my own heart

A very yummy strawberry cake

This was a great bouquet toss, I love the look on Amanda’s face.

Fort Story, Virgina Beach, VA Wedding ~ Lynsay and Dave
Posted on June 13, 2009
The wedding of Lynsay and Dave came to me through a referal from Andi Grant and their mutual friend Kegan. Thanks to both of you. I had so much fun with this couple. When we met they stressed they wanted fun pictures. I think we accomplished that. They had absolutely wonderful friends and family surrounding them, the love was flowing that day. The wedding took place at Fort Story on the beach, it was a perfect day. The reception was at their house in Suffolk, they had an awesome backyard barbque, the food was fantastic. Here are some of my favorites, to see the entire wedding, click here.
I love rings, Lynsay and Dave’s where lovely also a nice bouquet shot

My favorite shot of the bouquet, it’s like they put this column there for me to use it for this picture

Lynsay’s dress was perfect for her beach wedding, the shot on the bottom was just a cute expression

Dave seeing his beautiful bride for the first time, the next two are of the ceremony, they had awesome, sweet, and funny vows, it kept everyone smiling and laughing

Some more of the ceremony and the new Mr and Mrs Pallas-Grimes (sorry, guys, couldn’t resist :o)

The beautiful bride

By far my favorite group shot I have ever done

A few shots of the bride and groom

Toast time

They had this cool Mad Hatter cake, it was supposed to be leaning, so no worries!
Congratulations Lynsay and Dave, thanks for letting me part of your special day, many blessings and best wishes
