Pungo, Virgina Beach, VA, Farm Wedding ~ Amanda and Patrick
Posted on June 24, 2009
Last year I got a text message saying a dear friend had gotten engaged, I was so excited for her and her lucky fiance. Early this year I went ahead and bit the bullet and offered to shoot her wedding as her wedding present. I lucked out, she agreed. So here are my favorites from Amanda and Patrick’s wedding at Roseoldian Farm. Amanda’s family owns the farm, Patrick is a large animal vet, I bet ya’ll are getting the picture of how they met. I was lucky enough to have a great second shooter along with me Robbie Hickman. More luck followed and at the wedding I got to meet a fellow wedding photographer John Cachero. So without further ado…
Some great details….

If you know me, you know I love rings and getting creative with them… this is special just for the bride and groom.. do you know what they are on?

Dress details, the beautiful bride and the cutest flower girl!

I love watching people during the ceremony

Just Married!

The traditional pose… and Patrick holding her bouquet, he’ll be thrilled it’s up here

A few around the barn

and of course with the tractor and some of the residents

I can’t decide which of these next three is my favorite.. you tell me what you think (leave a comment!)

The first dance

Here is Amanda’s lovely mom, cutting a rug

I love the way the lights from inside make this first shot look. On the right is Amanda’s grandfather and his Nikon… a man after my own heart

A very yummy strawberry cake

This was a great bouquet toss, I love the look on Amanda’s face.

Rebecca I love all of these pictures. I think my favorite is of the married couple kissing in front of the horse. I love the lighting and how they’re just about in with the kiss, but not quite! This looked like a really fun, down to earth, and beautiful wedding! Congratulations to the bride and groom. Excellent work! <3
